Do Me Good

about

I remember being in the backyard hanging by the cement pond hearing my dad blow his horns from the studio attached to the garage. Especially that baritone sax. Those were good days. So, I went back a bit to write this song. "Hop in the seat, roll down the window and turn up the radio".

lyrics

Do Me Good

Let’s put all the pieces back together
And Clean up the mess we made
Baby lay it on the line this time
and maybe we’ll get it straight
One thing I would do if I could
See you looking like nobody should
That would do me good

Open up the door I hear horns blowing on the breeze
Yeah it’s gonna feel good watching you dancing next to me
I know a beach where nobody goes
Hop in the seat roll down the window
Turn up the radio

I wanna hear ‘em say look who’s back in the neighborhood
I wanna see you still lookin’ like nobody should
Don’t wanna be misunderstood
I want you back I’m knockin’ on wood
That would do me good
That would do me good
It’s been a long time comin’ baby
I’m glad you’re back now
It’s been a long time comin’
That would do me good
