Do Me Good 02:43
Do Me Good Let’s put all the pieces back together And Clean up the mess we made Baby lay it on the line this time and maybe we’ll get it straight One thing I would do if I could See you looking like nobody should That would do me good Open up the door I hear horns blowing on the breeze Yeah it’s gonna feel good watching you dancing next to me I know a beach where nobody goes Hop in the seat roll down the window Turn up the radio I wanna hear ‘em say look who’s back in the neighborhood I wanna see you still lookin’ like nobody should Don’t wanna be misunderstood I want you back I’m knockin’ on wood That would do me good That would do me good It’s been a long time comin’ baby I’m glad you’re back now It’s been a long time comin’ That would do me good

Everything But The Real Thing It really doesn’t matter to me what people think when they look at me livin’ worry free still strummin’ on heart strings I spend my money like it ain’t nothing Pretend I’m fine and aint that something I got people wishing they were walkin’ in my shoes But they don’t know I’m a guy who used to be Swimmin’ in love so deep savin’ for a diamond ring They only see what they think they see A man who has everything but the real thing I’m livin’ the American dream with a heart that’s free and opportunities chasin’ after me And that’s how it oughta be If I live the same lie a thousand times maybe I just might believe they’re right I wanna be that guy they see living my life But they don’t know I’m a guy who used to be Swimmin’ in love so deep savin’ for a diamond ring They only see what they think they see A man who has everything but the real thing It’s never too late to change my ways admit my mistakes stop bein’ afraid Cuz im the one to blame and it’s time to set things straight Her new boyfriend thinks he’s the shit but she’s only with him cuz of something I did He had nothing to do with how she slipped through my fingertips No he don’t know I’m the guy who used to be Swimmin’ in love so deep savin’ for a diamond ring Now he’s the guy that I’m supposed to be A guy who has everything and the real thing

Emily 02:37
Emily I was sitting in the sunlight After thinking ‘bout her all night And how much the world has changed Looks like another perfect day We’ve been waiting for this moment Now it’s so close that we can hold it The morning due that’s on the grass Is disappearing fast Emily the winds are blowing perfectly Let’s go ride them across the sea Emily A sky so blue that we can’t doubt it We won’t ever live without it We’re going where we’re meant to be There’s a place for you and me Emily the winds are blowing perfectly Let’s go ride them cross the sea As far as we can see Every trip around the sun And after every day is done Where will you go when you dream Tell me Emily

Listen 03:29
Listen Listen I’ve got that sinkin’ feelin’ A premomition you’ll be leavin’ And I’ve already done my grievin’ Listen it’s the little things you don’t say And I’ve been pickin’ up things along the way I’m in no hurry but you’re runnin’ late And I can’t look away the things you say they cause me pain And what makes you think I’m someone you can manipulate The only voice you hear belongs to you Don’t say you love me cuz I want you to Listen maybe I got too busy enjoying the show Maybe I gave you a little too much rope Maybe it’s just another I told you so Listen on the road from riches to ruins Don’t lose track of who you’re foolin’ Can you see the you in confusion We talk in circles it’s just a waste of time We end up nowhere and then we act surprised The only voice you hear belongs to you Don’t say you love me cuz I want you to listen Listen can you hear your indecision Can you hear the collision Between what you had and what you’re missin’ I think you should listen

She Never Said Goodbye I’ve been working on patience Workin’ my imagination I can see her in my mind happens all the time She never said goodbye I heard an old sad country song About a guy’s who done his woman wrong Now he’s lookin’ at his life with a tear stuck in his eye She never said goodbye She used to ask me nearly everyday Do you miss me whenever I’m awayu I never asnserd her I don’t know why She never said goodbye I’ve been working on faith Provin myself everyday I don’t like when people lie ‘time doesn’t fly She never said goodbye She used to ask me nearly everyday Do you miss me whenever I’m away I never answered her I don’t know why She never said goodbye I saw her at corner café’ It was plain to see she was doin’ ok She’s not one to think twice ‘bout what she left behind She never said goodbye She never said goodbye

Forever Seventeen I think of you and think of me Parked out front down the street Singin’ to you in my front seat Forever Seventeen There’s a photograph I keep Tucked inside my memory Your smile so wide I thought we’d always be Forever seventeen There’s a hill I drive by where the river flows Where we made some promises we should’ve never broke And I’m still keeping a secret everybody knows I left for school to learn a lot But I learned less than I forgot When you’re 21 sometimes you don’t know what you got And all the things we did for the first time And all the good people and plans we kissed goodbye There were no guarantees but you and I will be Forever seventeen There’s a hill I drive by where the water flows Where we made some promises we should’ve never broke And I’m still keeping a secret everybody knows

Boomerang 03:08
Boomerang My friends saw you at our favorite bar Getting free drinks and throwing darts The cats meow making dogs bark Under the influence of your hungry heart You said some things they assumed were true now they’re under the assumption I’m not over you Too much drinking wishful thinking We pay for everything we say and do Every time you give your heart away It comes back just like a boomerang Better stay away change your name Boomerang What’s that comin’ around the bend the Karma train comin’ back again Bringing you to your senses bringing you some consequences Don’t look now it’s on the way Comin like a hurricane It’s just a universal law You pay no matter what the cost My friends saw you at our favorite bar askin bout me and my guitar They saw you get into another guys car But that won’t take you very far

Every Little Thing Leave your dishes on the counter and your keys inside the door Leave your clothes inside the washer And your bathrobe on the floor Keep on singing in the shower keep me laughing over tea And the way you wear your sweater off of your shoulder Do you do that just for me You keep life simple as ABC Uncomplicated as 1,2, 3 It’s the little things that matter most to me And all your little things they mean every little thing to me Wear my football shirt to bed not your lingerie Use all the hot water for your bath I need a cold shower anyway Use my toothbrush when you can’t find yours Drink that wine that makes you snore Eat your cookies in our bed nothing you do makes me upset I love the way you say my name Every evening when we pray You keep life simple as ABC Uncomplicated as 1,2, 3 It’s the little things that matter most to me And all your little things they mean every little thing to me

Remember The Fall October never comes too soon And the thought of you beneath the moon At The Palisades Summer sinking in the sea Leaving on an autumn breeze Falling all the way There’s no rising from the fall Your love arrived like a wrecking ball When we wonder was it worth it all Remember the fall Dreamin’ with you face to face Slippin’ through the masquerade Waitin’ for the rain Feel the winter hesitate Stay until the morning breaks We can hide away There’s no rising from the fall Your love arrived like a wrecking ball When we wonder was it worth it all Remember the fall October never comes too soon And the thought of you beneath the moon At The Palisades Summer sinking in the sea Leaving on an autumn breeze Falling all the way Remember the fall

Home 01:51
Home I’ve been thinkin’ and I’ve been wishin’ Been reminiscin’ my hearts been driftin’ Tonight I’m just missin’ sittin’ at home I’m too tired to sing and I can’t whistle Sometimes I get to feelin’ a little bit wistful And I got a fistful of reasons I should be home I’ve been preoccupied with the days gone by I’ve been down the recesses of my mind And when I grow tired of the world I see I get between these four walls I let them comfort me And this home I built to house my heart is still upright and that’s a start I’ve been contemplating needin’ somebody Consumatin’ plans in a brown study Navigating the best I can on my way home And I’ve been thinkin’and I’ve been wishin’ Lettin’ loose of my ambitions But tonight I’m just sittin’ glad to be home

about

I was getting ready to share 9 new songs on a new album tentatively titled "XV", it being album #15. Then a drawing by my young granddaughter led to song #10 and the new album title, “Home”.
Thanks to Kevin Fisher, Doug Pettibone, Joe DiBlasi and Wayne Rothstein for their soulful and inspiring tracks.
The album may catch a few listeners by surprise with its horns, Hawaiian guitars and touch of salsa along side my usual picking and strumming. Hope you like it.
